If you are using a different version of PSP, the settings and filter effects may have a different effect. Play around with the settings until you get the result you want.

 

This lesson was conceived and written by me. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.

I use a color scheme in my lessons. I list the colors by noting the color number in the color box in the color scheme.

Preparation

Place the selection files in the selection folder of your Psp files

Open the tubes and the color scheme in your psp. Minimize them, except for the color scheme.

 

 

Set your foreground on color number 1

Set your background color to color number 2

 

 

1.

File-Open a new transparent image of this size: 800x500 pixels

Flood Fill Tool/Fill the layer with your foreground color 1

 

2.

Effects / Plugins / Texture – Texturizer use the settings below

3.

Layers/Duplicate

Selections/Select All

Selections / Modify / Contract by 1 pixel

Selections / Invert

 

4.

(Do not add a new layer)

Fill the selection with your background color 2

Selections/Select none

 

5.

 

Image / Resize with 85%, Resize all layers-not checked

Selections/Select All

Selections / Float

Selections / Defloat

 

6.

Selections / Modify / Contract by 1 pixel

Effects / Plugins/Filters / Unlimited 2.0 / Filter Factory Gallery P – Frame 01 use the settings below

7.

Layers-Properties-Set the Blend Mode to " Luminance"

Effects / Plugins / Graphic plus - Cross shadow, using the default settings

Selections/Select none

 

8.

Select Selection Tool-Custom Selection(S)-Rectangle with these settings:

Top at 170

Left at 60

Bottom at 325

Right side at 740

 

9.

Layers / New raster layer

Fill the selection with your background color 2

Selections / Modify / Contract by 10 pixels

and press the delete key once

Layers / New raster layer

Take your flood fill tool and set the opacity to 60%

Fill the selection with your foreground color 1

Select Drop Shadow, Low

and OK

 

Selections/Select none

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste as a new layer

!! Note! Take your flood fill tool and set the opacity to 100 % back

 

Fill the selection with your background color 2

Selections / Modify / Contract by 10 pixels

Fill the selection with your foreground color number 3

and press the delete key once

Take your flood fill tool and set the opacity to 60 %

Fill the selection with your background color 2

Activate the tube Renee-TUBES-Mai-2-2024-10

Activate the middle layer of this tube

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste into selection

Adjust / Sharpness/ Sharpen

Selections/Select none

Layers/Merge/Merge Down

Repeat 1x more

Select Reflect, Behind

In your layer palette, activate the 2nd layer from the bottom

Activate the tube again Renee-TUBES-Mai-2-2024-10

Activate the middle layer of this tube

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste as a new layer

Image / Resize with 80%,

Resize all layers unchecked

Horizontal offset minus at 5

Vertical offset minus at 5

Custom and Transparent checked

Reduce the opacity of this layer to 50%

Activate the top of the layers palette

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste as a new layer

Do not move

Right-click this layer

Promote Background Layer

Activate your Magic Wand – Tolerance at 0 and Feather at 0

and click in the "empty" area

Take your flood fill tool and set the opacity to 100 %

Activate the top of the layer palette
