Luxx

 

This lesson was written on June 9, 2024 with PSP12.

If you are using a different version of PSP, the settings and filter effects may have a different effect. Play around with the settings until you get the result you want.

 

This lesson was conceived and written by me. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.

I use a color scheme in my lessons. I list the colors by noting the color number in the color box in the color scheme.

Preparation

Place the selection files in the selection folder of your Psp files

Open the tubes and the color scheme in your psp. Minimize them, except for the color scheme.

 

1.

Open a new image of 800x500 pixels in black.

 

2.

Activate the tube Luxx Deco made by mpd©

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste as a new layer

Do not move

 

3.

Layers / New rasterlayer

Selections/Select All

 

4.

Activate the tube 653 BG

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste into selection

Selections/Select none

 

5.

Effects / Plugins / AAA Frames – Foto frame

Set the top slider to 20.

Leave the rest as it is.

 

6.

Effects / Plugins / MuRa's Meister / Perspective Tiling use the settings below

Reduce the opacity of this layer to 70%

 

7.

Activate the middle layer in your layer palette.

Select Selection Tool-Custom Selection(S)-Rectangle with these settings:

Top at 400

Left at 0

Bottom at 500

Right at 800

 

8.

Press the delete key once now.

Selections/Select none

Activate the bottom of the layers palette

 

9.

Layers / New rasterlayer

Selections/Select All

 

10.

Activate the tube 240 BG

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste into selection

Selections/Select none

 

11.

Open Narah_Mask_1396

Image/Mirror/Mirror vertical(Image/Flip in older versions of PSP)

Minimize the mask.

 

12.

Layers / New mask layer / From image and select mask

Layers / Merge / Merge Group

!! When closing the mask do Not save !!!

Effects / Plugins / Graphic plus - Cross shadow

all sliders at 50

Stay on this layer

 

15.

Select Selection Tool-Custom Selection(S)-Rectangle with these settings:

Top at 400

Left at 0

Bottom at 500

Right at 800

 

16.

Press the delete key once now.

Selections/Select none

Layers / Duplicate

Image/Mirror/Mirror Horizontal(Image/Mirror in older versions of PSP)

Layers/Merge/Merge down

 

17.

Layers-Properties-Set the Blend Mode to " Hard Light "

Activate the top of the layer palette

 

18.

Activate the tube Luxx Deco 1

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste as a new layer

Effects / Image Effects / Offset

Horizontal offset at 0

Vertical offset at 155

Custom and Transparent checked

Activate the tube Luxx Floor Lamps

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste as a new layer

 

21.

Effects / Image Effects / Offset

Horizontal offset at 0

Vertical offset minus at 165

Custom and Transparent checked

Activate the tube sticksilhfem2-coly

Window / Duplicate

- Close the original and work with the copy.

 

23.

Use the tool lasso or freehand selection to draw a selection around the watermark. Press your delete key once.

Selections/Select none

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste as a new layer

Image / Resize with 75%, Resize all layers-not checked

Effects / Image Effects / Offset

Horizontal offset at 25

Vertical offset at 0

Custom and Transparent checked

Activate the tube L585 text mpd©

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste as a new layer

Effects / Image Effects / Offset

Horizontal offset at 8

Vertical offset minus at 95

Custom and Transparent checked

Layers/Arrange/Move down

Layers-Properties-Set the Blend Mode to " Hard Light "

Activate the top of the layer palette

Edit / Copy and back to your 800 image

Edit / Paste as a new layer

Effects / Image Effects / Offset

Horizontal offset at 0

Vertical offset minus at 100

Custom and Transparent checked

Layers / New raster layer

and put your name/watermark on it

 

!! Don't forget my watermark !!

 

Layers / Merge / Merge all (flatten)

Put your foreground on color number 1 and your background on color number 2

 

Image / Add borders/Symmetric checked:

1 pixel -foreground color 1

10 pixels- color black

1 pixel -background color 2

Image / Add borders/Symmetric checked:

35 pixels -color black

1 pixel- foreground color 1

10 pixels- color black

1 pixel- background color 2

Image / Resize 800 pixels width

Resize all layers checked

 

Save your work as a JPG file
