My World of PSP

This lesson was written on 23 Sep 2024 using psp12

If you are working with a different version of PSP, the settings and filter effects may give a different effect. Play around with the settings until you get the desired result.

 

This lesson was conceived and written by me. Any similarity is purely coincidental.

I list the colors by noting the color number in the color box, in the color scheme

Preparation

Place the selection files in the selection folder of your Psp files

 

Open the tubes and the color scheme in your psp. Minimize them, except for the color scheme.

 

Set your foreground to white

and your background on color no. 2

1.

Open a new image of 800x 500 pixels in black

2.

Layers / New raster layer

Flood fill the layer with color white

3.

Layers / New mask layer / From image and select mask:

Layers/Merge/Merge Group

Layers / Duplicate

Image / Mirror / Mirror vertical ( Image /Flip in older versions of PSP)

Layers / Merge / Merge down

5.

Activate/ Selection Tool-Custom Selection(S)-Rectangle with these settings:

Top at 45

Left at 0

Bottom at 452

Right at 800

 

6.

Layers / New raster layer

Flood fill the selection with your background ( color no 2)

7.

Effects/ Plugins/ L&K Landsiteofwonders – Zitah

Control 0 at 3

Control 1 at 6

The rest remains as it is

 

8.

Again :

Adjust / Sharpness / Sharpen

Selections/ Select none

Layers / New mask layer / From image and select mask:

Set your foreground color to color 1

Layers / New raster layer

Flood fill the layer with color 1

Layers / New mask layer / From image and select mask:

In your layer palette, activate the layer below ( Group - Raster 1)

Set the blend mode of this layer to Dodge

Activate the top layer in your layer palette

Reduce the layer opacity of this layer to 70

Activate/ Selection Tool-Custom Selection(S)-Rectangle with these settings:

Top at 130

Left at 150

Bottom at 220

Right at 185

Flood fill the selection with the background color (color no.2)

Press your delete key once

Save your work as a JPG file
